Both politicians are from the western part of the state that leans ctr-left. Probably no republican from the eastern part of the state would have a chance. Seattle is more like Boston culturally and Spokane is more like Idaho politically.

Actually I believe PPP has captured the fact that Inslee is an unknown and there are many undecideds... Think Elway really didn't pick up. SurveyUSA's poll was bad too based off of state demographics.

And I think the voters of a blue state like Washington are having 2nd thoughts about electing a Republican governor, because they know that the new Governors the RNC wants to run, tend to be much more extreme when they are elected, than how they campaigned. After seeing how NJ, WI, Maine, MIch, Fl, and Ohio have suffered under very unpopular, and fiercely extreme Governors have damaged their states, Washington doesn't want to make the same mistake.

Other than Scott BRown, and the 2 senators from Maine, the moderate Republicans don't exist anymore, in any statewide offices around the country.

Oh look, Libs favorite PPP shows a tied race where SUSA and Elway found McKenna up significantly.

9 point lead is not a significant lead. Most likely your party is turning off moderates and independents in this state so keep it up.

I'm not GOP Jeff. Nor Dem. I dislike both parties, though the GOP is worse in my estimation. And 9 points is a significant lead.
