Worf Denied Repeatedly On The Starship Enterprise: A Supercut (VIDEO)

Worf Star Trek

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 02/22/2012 4:27 pm Updated: 02/23/2012 12:49 pm

Worf is the least respected member of the Starship Enterprise, according to the video below. The 15-minute supercut of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" features scene after scene in which the trigger-happy Worf suggests action, and is routinely denied, dismissed, or straight-out mocked. The way his unmoving Klingon face absorbs the rejection is truly Jesus-like. Love ya Worf! Don't ever change.

I think Wesley Crusher was the most dissed member of the Enterprise crew. Wasn't there one episode where his mother actually tells him to shut up. Am I wrong?

Worf is the "amygdala" of the crew....

In DS:9, Worf became a much more layered and nuanced character.

Klingons have honor. They are more like Romulans.

While I appreciate that Worf was a metaphor, just today I was thinking about how black men are rebuffed in some tv shows. Look at the guy in Burn Notice and Jones on White Collar. They are always making suggestions that are never taken up. It's enough to give a guy a complex! LOL!

Geordi was a blind eunuch. He couldn't even get an a holo image of a babe. But, you definitely listen to the guy if he can make the ship go, change the sparkplugs and the oil.

Worf was always my favourite character on Next Generation. There were hidden depths there. Klingons rule!!

Well at least he wasn't a red shirt!

worf was a metaphor. he was the voice of those who would go to war first. he was the face of gut reaction over thoughtful appropriate response. his instant flash powder of fear, revenge rather than picards questions of why here, why now. and he stood for bravery, willingness to die for the right, always standing his post, like good soldiers everywhere. other episodes showed compassion,
empathy and sorrow - when the fires of the warrior heart stopped burning. he was the klingon jackie robinson.

Worf was NOT a merry man.

My fellow Trekkers will understand.

Funny. Even in the 23rd or whatever century, a Black man has no voice. I wonder when President Obama is going to become "Worf". Worf certainly was not about the new testament, they say, LOL!

I guess you didn't watch Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in which the most important character on the show was played by the very talented and very Black Avery Brooks.....

The most important character on DS9 was Quark. He sold the liquor that kept them from cabin fever and killing one another. The second most important character was the wormhole.
