Barack Obama Throws Up The U: Tweets, Quips, And Twitpics From Miami Visit

As if Miami didn't have enough going on with Linsanity meeting the Heat and the South Beach Wine and Food Festival underway, we also had the President of the United States making a speech at the University of Miami and kicking back at two fundraisers in Coral Gables and Pinecrest.

In the old days, he told the crowd, he'd have stayed to watch the Heat-Knicks rivalry's latest wrinkle (Heat games, it appears, are more for the post-presidential agenda).

But despite choosing fundraising over LeBron, Obama played one thing as well as possible in largely conservative Miami-Dade County, where he was met by several protestors: he threw up the U, a salute Hurricanes fans aren't soon to forget.

Perhaps President Obama should come to the south side of Chicago where school are going to be closed a total of 18 schools to be close in mostly poor communities as mandated by the CPS who was hand pick by the Mayor Emanuel who happens to had worked for President Obama. It is ashamed that the President travels to fund raisers and our city does not have money, but how could this be when Chicago was name by a Former alderman turn into a university professor . The most corrupted City in the USA. When sitting in the board of education I notice Rev. Jessie Jackson speaking up with other people like the stuck up Rev, Jacks. Rev. Jackson needs to understand that this is a revenge by Obama since the day he told in the news he wanted to cut Obama balls in a microphone left open by a major network by mistake, I can assure you this is a vendetta against the Jackson family..but gentleman lets be real the purpose of this closing of school is personal and financial gain. One the real estate to be build will displace the people. 2 The new C hater schools is another way to bust the Unions to hire teachers for less money. 3. Charter schools are charging fines to their students, Charter schools are under-performing compare to public schools. Lets be real this move has to do with making money..millions by those involved in this master piece.

If Obama can get someone to build power plants powered by the BS that both he and his administration is shovling us then the WORLDS energy problem would be solved. Until then they need to shut up and get out the White House.

I don't understand the deeper Cuba issues. Its 50 years already. If Cuban-Americans want the Castro brothers out, why don't they plan for a regime change themselves and start a revolution. Heck, Libya did it, Egypt did it, etc. with less notice and time than Cubans had -- which is 50 YEARS!

I lived in Tallahassee for 6 years and found it to be more moderate than conservative. You have that blend of 2 universities, tons of lawyers and politics.
