"Paris, Portrait of a City" Explores Love Affair Between Paris And Photography (PHOTOS)

Ever since Daguerre took the first photograph on the bank of the Seine river, Paris and photography have made the perfect couple. Explore the most romantic city in the world through the lens of the camera, and fall in love with Paris all over again.

"Paris, Portrait of a City" contains over 500 photographs from 150 photographers, including Daguerre, Marville, Atget, Lartigue, Brassaï, Kertész, Ronis, Doisneau and Cartier-Bresson, all capturing a fleeting moment of that Parisian magic. Watch as the past three centuries unfurl, as the history of a medium blossoms alongside the history of a city. Whether a stolen kiss, a dormant merry-go round, a fashionable mademoiselle or a lonely river, life just sparkles brighter in Paris.
