South Carolina Dead Voters

Spring Valley Patch:

The director of the South Carolina Election Commission released a report Wednesday refuting claims that more 200 dead voters participated during the 2010 election.

Election Commission Executive Director Marci Andino said that 197 of the cases her agency investigated appeared to be results of human error or coincidence and not cases of voter fraud. The other ten cases proved inconclusive.

In a letter to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, Andino said her agency spent more than 200 hours examining suspected cases of voter fraud from the 2010 general election.

If voter fraud is occurring on the grand scale alleged by Republicans, I would expect to see a pronounced “blue” shift in affected counties and states. That is to say, there would be a discernable difference between how those affected counties and states polled prior to a particular election and the actual result, with the difference benefiting Democrats, which is not the case. The claim of voter fraud  Read More...

Dead voters: as real as Adam and Eve, the Easter Bunny, job creators, class warfare, birth control as a religious conviction, corporations as persons, and fetuses as persons. One lie after another.

Once again Republicans make government run inefficiently by forcing employees to wast time chasing evil looking shadows instead of doing their jobs. Desperately seeking anything to justify their claims of Democratic voter fraud, they sink to the bottom again.

Personal opinion?

It's not the "dead" voters we need to worry about.

It's the "brain dead" voters.

Has any Republican claim of voter fraud ever played out and proved to be true? Mostly they seem to be out to scare people and deflect attention as what thier really up to.

This is why we need voter ID cards.

It's the only way a voter can prove that he is not dead.

Most times, when the Republicans are fixated on a problem that does not exist (or is not provable and is really just some red-meat distraction) is because they are guilty of it.

Fact: Nikkie Haley -
Though as many as 2,000 people were expected at a Tea Party rally in South Carolina, just 30 showed up after Donald Trump cancelled his appearance with Gov. Nikki Haley (R), according to the Columbia State.

The Election Commision was wrong. There were more than 200 dead voters. I personally counted at least 20K that were dead from the neck up during the election.

I'd believe the Republicans were sincere (sic!) if they proposed an investigation into Diebold, if you're looking for election fraud start with That Machine.

I think the Republican philosophy and agenda for the country has been well established since their '10 elections successes. They are against, gay marriage, contraceptives, women's health in general, elderly living with a little security, education, unions, protection of clean air and water, minimum wage . They are for, war, limiting voting rights, governmental intrusion into all bedrooms, lowering tax rates for the wealthy, reinstating DADT, buying elections, open hostility toward the poor and unemployed.

the only excuse that made sense was "3 cases were absentee ballots of voters who died before election day". The other excuses were rather ambiguous 'glitches or errors' not really explained.

Republicans are all about Voter Suppression, Controlling Women, Closing Schools and de-funding Education.

Where are the JOBS, JOBS, JOBS, they ran on in 2010

It never existed... They said what they had to in order to be elected. It gives credit to the "fools can be fooled 100% of time" idea.

And Democrats don't care if you have the legal right to vote, they call it an attack to require an I'd to prove you are you.. But both sides clearly have their own issues with elections.

"Voter Fraud" the fake issue in search of a problem is designed to do one thing --- suppress the votes of likely Democratic supporters. Teapublicans know that in high turnout elections that does not bode well for them and their narrow segment of support (old white religiosity motivated and rural) so they seek to limit participation.

and even then they want to stop the count when they get the result they want...like Iowa or Maine...spare me the report shows there is NO voter fraud as they claim and other studies have shown there has not been any significant fraud in many years, except by Republicans purging the rolls or other tactics to limit participation
