Detroit News:

Detroit -- The FBI's probe into Wayne County has broadened to include allegations a fired top political lieutenant to Executive Robert Ficano bought a list of registered voters with money intended for the poor.

Former assistant executive Michael Grundy, who helped run get-out-the-vote efforts for Ficano, paid $5,000 in September to an East Lansing firm for the list of county residents 55 and older. The bill was paid by an agency Grundy oversaw that provides low-cost health insurance to the poor, Wayne County HealthChoice, according to records obtained by The Detroit News.

Could you please elaborate on how the money was to be used for the poor? What budget it came from??? I can't stand Ficano, but the article sounds less credible and more of an opinionated piece when you say "a fired top political lieutenant to Executive Robert Ficano bought a list of registered voters with money intended for the poor," and do not elaborate further.

Is Ficano a Democrat? Don't ever see these types of shenanigans out of L. Brooks.
