Golden Collar Awards 2012: Triumph The Insult Comic Dog Hits The Red Carpet (VIDEO)

After the success of the Puppy Bowl, dog events are becoming more of a thing now, and nowhere was that more evident than in Los Angeles Feb. 12 at the inaugural Golden Collar Awards. While we think it's great to essentially have dog Oscars that recognize excellence in dog acting, we couldn't help but notice a certain Insult Comic Dog mysteriously missing from the nominations.

The snub didn't get past Triumph, either, so he hit the red carpet at the event to figure out what all of the fuss was about.

We're not so sure about the dog in the tuxedo, but Brigitte, the French Bulldog who plays Stella on "Modern Family," definitely won our hearts here with her no-BS attitude.

And there's always next year, Triumph.

I am dead serious. Triumph is a serious subject. There is no room for jocularity. He is a menace and a threat to American moral fiber.

Bo? What's the point in having Triumph there for that? If he had been there to poop on the search for WMDs, there never would have been an Iraq war.

IMO Triumph's best bits are when he showed up to a Star Wars convention. Check it out on YouTube.

The second best, when he appeared at a dog show (I think it was the AKC). At that one the administrator had his goon squad (security) escort Triumph out of the main hall. Did not matter, There was plenty to insult elsewhere in the building.

This appearance sunk to new lows, a red tube of lipstick depicting Triumph with an ere#ction.

Cracks me up how there's an official at these functions who takes offense and kicks "Triumph" out of the room, function, or building.

I always crackup when these people do that, them apparently not thinking that they will look like suʍolɔssɐ on national TV.
