Man Shoots Himself In The Stomach (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

There's got to be a less painful way to find out if your body armor works.

So just why did this gentleman shoot himself right in the stomach? As Gizmodo succinctly explains, Fer testin'!

The man appears to survive his close encounter with a bullet, but -- surprise! -- he is in immense pain.

The video is a little like Derek "Tex" Grebner's YouTube clip in which he shoots himself in the leg, except for the fact that Tex discharged his firearm on accident.

On the bright side, at least the vest tester didn't shoot himself in the crotch.

A few years ago I watched the video of the man who invented the first bullet proof vest made of a kevlar material. To prove that it did save lives he did the same thing. He shot himself in the stomach while wearing his invention and distriputed the video clip to police departments around the counrty. Now his invention is standard for all police departments.

Apparently 'babble' is the correct term for it. I have seen several, several posts claiming this guy is in the mentally handicapped classification becuse he tried this on himself instead of a test dummy that would not prove that it could really save a life.

This gorilla should have his gun permit revoked yesterday. When he demonstates such a lack of judgement and responsibilty with a deadly weapon, he forfeits his right to carry something so dangerous. If somebody were to drive through a public park blindfolded, they would no longer have a driver's license. It is almost a shame that the vest worked. The country would be a much safer place without brainless clods like this guy.

And the brainless clod that invented the original bullet proof vest did the same thing. He wanted to prove that it would save lives. Now his invention is standard equipment for all police departments.

Well, heck, how would he possibly know that being struck by a round on body armor would be painful, cause bruising, possibly even internal blunt-force injuries, and require replacing the armor plate?

I mean, except for reading the manufacturer's information, or police training materials, or interviews of people who have taken a round in body armor in real life. You can't expect him to find any of that stuff.
