Lets see, GOP has declared as their enemies: scientists, teachers and universities, unions, all government employees, college students, teenagers, the environmentally concerned, women, gays and lesbians, blacks, latinos, muslims, Hollywood, cartoons and muppets, the poor, children, the laid off & unemployed, democrats, liberals, moderate republicans, and the rest of the world. But at least they have the hard-core evangelical vote.

GOPers should blame TEA Party and GOP governors elected in 2010. TEA Party lied to American people that GOPers were right people to govern states. Instead GOP governors abused American workers both in public and private sectors - making them slaves -stripping them of labor union rights. Ryan made it worse when he attacked Social Security and Medicare thus alienating seniors from the Republican Party. American people are furious with the Republican Party. Further, GOP had terrible candidates - Romney shipping his money to be used by Swiss people and unconcerned with very poor; Gingrich with his wives' abuse, Santorum calling Blacks and the poor as EBT suckers; Ron Paul affiliation with KKK groups. As a whole GOP and TEA Party are dead after November 6. Please join me voting for President Obama in November.

Great story. My favorite quote, "Here he [Mitt] was handing Obama’s people a blooper reel that would let them paint him as a hybrid of Gordon Gekko and Thurston Howell III." Classic, and it has the added benefit of being true. Rock on GOP. I look forward to your rebirth in 2016 (or later). RIP.

It's nice to see that throughout all of HuffPo's iterations, AOL, Paris, additional categories, and on, and on; Throughout all of these changes your moderation policy has not missed a beat. It is as illogical, parochial, and totally as unreasonable as it has ever been. For every two comments I get posted, at least 3-4 hit the circular file (an axiom to do with trash pails, but I digress).
I've been 86'd from this site at least 6 or 7 times, under different monikers, and have grudgingly learned most of the ways to get posted, and what to avoid. I has done little good. You guys are always one step ahead. In fact I think you guys are now using the tried and true "Eeney, Meeney, Miney, Mo" method. Is this not true? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Even the Kochs must occasionally be ashamed to appear at their incessant "charity events" among the richest people in the country, when it's clear to everyone around them, in the top .00001%, that they're the ones who have created this Frankenstein's monster of a Republican Tea Party base that is so stupid and bigoted that they make Alabama under Wallace look like Denmark. When these folks get to St. Barts, can you imagine the looks the French down there are giving them? As if the American fat cats all had some weird body odor of political vulgarity.

If one of them reach the WH, they'll just raise the debt ceiling like always, cut more taxes, and say debt doesn't matter. Then they'll blame our ills on those tax/spend Democrats.

There isn't enough free speech bought by corporate wealth and fundamentalist religious fanaticism to unseat the president. Playing the fear and religious division cards is a losing strategy. Most conservatives approve of the liberal state, but vote for Republicans who advocate permanent war and tax cuts. Unwittingly they are enabling the social safety net destroyers.
