Afghanistan Violence: U.S. Colonel, Major Killed At Interior Ministry, Officials Say

KABUL, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Two Americans who were shot dead on Saturday inside the Interior Ministry in Afghanistan's capital Kabul are believed to be a colonel and a major in the U.S. military, Afghan security sources told Reuters.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement that two "foreign partners" had been killed, but said it was not immediately clear who shot them. (Reporting by Hamid Shalizi, Writing by Amie Ferris-Rotman; Editing by Michael Georgy)

NATO and US forces should pull out now from Afghanistan. Let Karzai become a martyr when the Taliban comes for his head. We spend our tax dollars to try and give them a better country and they spitefully use us. To the devil for all of them. Too bad Bush had to do away with Saddam Hussein, he could have gone to Afghanistan and did his famous ethnic cleansing act. No wonder he was so evil, that is the only thing these people know and understand. It makes me angry.

The of killing people for drawing cartoons or or the killings for the burning of books should carry the maximum penalty --> these are murders. However, Islam is silent on the condemnation, thus giving tacit support. (Oh, yes, Salman Rushdie doesn't support these murders...but everyone who counts(Governments, popular figures) IS SILENT...listen and you hear the crickets!)

Those who support these murders should themselves be subject to the maximum penalty.
We have a clash of cultures between the secular West and the Muslim East. There is by no means a unity of belief on either side. However, liberals need to step forward to declare their allegiance.

We recipients of the liberal secular tradition, a tradition that has countless martyrs burned by the Christian and political institutions of their time, need to be realistic, honest, and MILITANT about defining the incompatibility of the Islamists view and that of Western Liberal Secularism.

And let's leave Afghanistan ASAP->now.

I hope your mom is safe man. But they said that the taliban was passing coded messages inside them, that's why they destroyed them. May have been smarter to just collect them and ship them out but that was what was reported as the reason.
