Vivian Green Opens Up On The Philadelphia Eagles Disappointing Season: Love Of The Game

Vivian Green: The Eagles Need To Get Their Mojo Together

In our weekly "Love Of The Game" series, HuffPost Black Voices talks sports with a person of note. This week we caught up with R&B vocalist Vivian Green, who shared her thoughts on the Philadelphia Eagles disappointing season.

I always tell people first and foremost that I am a football fan. I love the game. I watch every game that I can watch, not just when the Eagles play. People get on me because I have a lot of teams that I like so that’s why I just like to say, “I am a football fan.” Of course, I live in Philly and I totally root for the Eagles. I was hoping with some of the great changes that they did [this past season] would mean that they would have a really great year, but they didn’t have a great year at all. I knew way before the season was over that it wasn’t happening. So I was like, ‘OK, this isn’t our year. They need to get their mojo together and mesh better and get to know each other [because they didn’t have enough time due to the lockout].’ But I think next season that they’ll have a much better year. So I’m looking forward to seeing how we’ll do.
