Winter's Finally Here: Healthy Ways To Spend A Snow Day

The first day of spring is less than a month away -- and winter just decided to show up!

It's been a wildly warm winter across the U.S. For many states, the 2011/2012 season will be one of the top 10 warmest on record, if not the warmest. As of February 21, this will be Chicago's tenth warmest winter, Detroit's sixth, Milwaukee's sixth, and Washington D.C.'s fifth, according to Weather.com.

Rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, tornadoes and snow were expected to hit much of the U.S. due to a storm system moving in from the Midwest, the AP reported Friday. If you're buried under a blanket of white, you might feel like curling up under the covers and drinking hot chocolate in front of the TV, but this wintry weather actually gives you the perfect opportunity for some healthy activities -- including that hot chocolate!. Check out our picks for the healthiest ways to spend your snow day, and tell us what the weather's like and how you're spending the day in the comments below.
