Worst Oscar Dresses Of All Time: A Gallery Of The Academy Awards' Biggest Fashion Flops (PHOTOS)

While there are some Academy Award dresses we've LOVED over the years, there have also been a few that we'd like to honor with a place in our hall of shame.

The bad gown can take anyone as its victim -- just look at gorgeous Gwyneth Paltrow, who made both our Best Dresses of All Time list (with her 2011 Calvin Klein)... and this more dubious rap sheet.

First off, Uma's dress didn't really deserve to be on this list. Secondly, I really miss the days before stylists! You could depend on a Cher or a Demi or a Sean Young to show up in something fabulously wacky! Everyone is so safe now. Even people who are considered edgy are more like "classy-edgy".

You "style" people are so vain it's ridiculous. ANY woman is a beautiful creature. They can override any fashion slip by simply smiling and saying "Yes" more often. A confident, smiling, mature woman can carry any outfit. You may not be caught dead in it but we are not talking about YOU, are we!

Bjork's swan dress was one of the BEST of all time.
It showed a unique and personal creativity, not just the ability to outspend other millionaires to wear something by a bigname designer.

Its funny how these celebs were judged for their dress but Lady Gaga came come dressed like who would have though off and gets praise and is considered "original" when she's not original at all. Bjork, now that was original. We expect Gaga to look like a fool because that's her gimmick!

Most of those were really bad, but the photographers should be "sh+ot" as well. For a good photo you should never take the shot straight forward with the "model" standing straight -- front and center. It's much more flattering to have them stand a little sideways. But, of course, this is only my "humble" opinion. :-)

Yes, Bjork's dress was completely off the wall, but that was her point. She definitely succeded at conveying her message. Thanks for reminding me how much I love her and her creative moxie.
