2013 Oscars: Hosts The Academy Awards Should Consider For Its 85th Year

The 84th annual Academy Awards will likely go down as a moderate success. After all, the telecast was the shortest in 30 years, earned better ratings than 2011, and happened without controversy with only some controversy. Not bad, Academy!

But! If the 84th annual Academy Awards were part of a rebuilding year, then it's time to blow out all the stops for the 2013 Oscars. To wit: Don't even entertain the thought of bringing Billy Crystal and his inappropriate Borscht Belt banter back for a tenth time; find some new(ish) blood.
