Spartacus Burns Down The Arena On 'Spartacus: Vengeance' (VIDEO)

What better way for Spartacus and his gang to exact revenge on the crowds that bayed for the gladiators' blood in the arena, than to burn down that arena with them inside?

On "Spartacus: Vengeance" (Fri., 10 p.m. EST on Starz), Spartacus led a daring mission to rescue Oenomaus, Crixus and Rhaskos from execution in the arena, only to discover that their executioner was none other than their House of Batiatus compatriot Gannicus (Dustin Clare, from "Gods of the Arena").

As Gannicus and Oenomaus battled each other on the sand, Mira and the other escaped slaves set fires underneath the arena.

When the fires finally caught hold, the flames soared up into the stands, making them collapse. As the fire consumed the wooden structure panic broke out among the bloodthirsty spectators and they screamed in terror as, section by section, they plunged into the inferno.

"Spartacus: Vengeance" continues on Fridays at 10 p.m. EST on Starz.

This was the best episode of Spartacus yet and one of the best hours of TV this season.
If this show was on HBO everyone would be talking about how much better than "Rome" it is.
The show lost it's star to cancer but apparently used the down time to polish the scripts.
It's on one heck of a roll!
