Jolie'ing: The Photo Meme Inspired By Angelina Jolie's Oscars Dress (PICTURES)

Angelina Jolie looked beautiful at the Oscars Sunday night in a black Versace dress with a high slit that showed off her legs, but as far as fashion statements go, she flew under the radar for most of the evening. That's because, when seated, it looked like a plain black gown. No flash. No gimmick.

It wasn't until she took the stage to present and jutted out her hip that the world saw what she was going for -- namely thigh -- and comedian Jim Rash (of "Community") took notice. So when he accepted his Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay from Jolie, he took the opportunity to do a little hip-jutting of his own, and thus a meme was born.

The Internet has since caught fire with both leg-bombing (Photoshopping her leg onto other images) and Jolie'ing (striking that signature pose in a photo). It's even bled back into television, with Kelly Ripa and company giving it a spin on "Live!".

Is this the new Planking? Probably not. But it's beautiful for now.

When I first saw her doing that I thought she might have had one to many. I mean, who does something like that on the Oscar stage? I had to laugh when she was up there and wanted to get closer to the mic and she stays in the pose as she shifts up. I was pretty awkward and lame.

Why are folk ravin' and rantin' ova a skinny leg with a knobby knee? So it's Angie. It still a skinny leg and a knobby knee. Folk love suff like this. Obviously. But when was the last time anyone waxed rhapssodically over a skinny leg and a knobby knee. I know. I'm askin' for it. But regardless of what y'all say it don't change the facts. Hello Gizmo9; I'm inclined to agree with ya. It appears Sista Angie doesn't view things from our perspective. I didn't know she was so emaciated. Imagine a leg with a doorknob. But obviously Brotha Brad ain't got a problem with it. But when she struck that sultry (I'm assumin' that's what she assumed it was). Sista Angie needs to put on a few pounds. But I heard tell "you can neva be too thin or too rich." Folk'll say anythang. Won't they? Life.
