Stylish Yellow Kitchen Accessories And Appliances

First Posted: 02/28/2012 2:29 pm   Updated: 08/31/2012 10:48 am

While spring might not be here quite yet -- the taste of young asparagus and English peas is still slightly out of reach -- we can still welcome spring in our kitchens with the help of a bit of color. Sometimes a change of decor is all we need to get us feeling inspired again (what home cook doesn't need a little inspiration after four months of root vegetables?). And yellow is just the color to get us feeling excited to be in the kitchen again.

We know. We can't all just go out and redo our tiles and replace appliances on a whim, no matter how much we wish we could. But the truth is, sometimes just a little item here and there can do the trick. We at Kitchen Daily have rounded up a number of yellow, spring-inspired items suitable for every kind of budget. From kitchen gadgets that will only set you back $4 to major appliances you might want to start saving for, there is something for everyone. Click through the slideshow below for a little inspiration.

Most toasters have to live on the counter, since we turn to them nearly every morning; and if it has to be out in plain site, it should at least do so in style.

Yellow is nice for spring (Easter) and summer, but what about fall and winter, what about Christmas and Thanksgiving? No thanks.

Yellow minor appliances and accessories are ok, but I wouldn't do major appliances in yellow. Some yellow would go nice with either white or stainless fridge, oven, dishwasher and microwave.

Remember "Harvest Gold"? It was right up there with "Avocado"? There was a brown thing too, forgets...it cycles.

My mom and dad had an "avocado" kitchen. Everything, including the trim around the doorways was avocado. Even 30 years later the avocado kitchen sink is still there.

clean up the bags of chips, get some fruit in there, wash down the stove, get some flowers on the table and clear it of papers.

Generally USE the kitchen?
