"Crocodile Dundee" star Paul Hogan, embroiled in tax-evasion allegations in his native Australia, has listed for sale his Malibu estate that shares the same guard gates as homes owned by Mel Gibson and Kelsey Grammar. Hogan's 5,300-square-foot contemporary just came on the market at $6.475 million. He bought the house in 2009 for about $25,000 less.

The exclusive Serra Retreat neighborhood, while not beachfront, has much larger lot sizes than Malibu's other developments. Hogan's four-bedroom home, described in the MLS as "the Hamptons meet modern minimalism," sits on about a half-acre and includes a 70-foot-long pool and grassy yard.

According to news accounts, the Australian Crime Commission is investigating whether to press criminal charges or levy fines against Hogan and two business associates over taxes from his movies, which include his three films as Crocodile Dundee, and "Almost an Angel" and "Lightning Jack." The "Crocodile Dundee" films alone grossed more than $500 million worldwide.

The Malibu home is listed by Eytan Levin of The Levin Group.
