The death of conservative blogger and activist Andrew Breitbart at the age of 43 sent a shockwave through political and media circles on Thursday. One of Breitbart's last interviews was with HuffPost Gay Voices at the Conservative Political Action Conference three weeks ago, in which he revealed that his political conversion from left to right, almost 20 years ago, was inspired by his reaction to the outing of closeted public figures in the gay community. (It was in fact the issue of outing that caused Breitbart to leave the board of the gay conservative group GOProud late last year).
