I know it's a TV show and not a movie, but Buffy's senior prom shoulda been on the list.

Both for the umbrella AND for the killing of demons.

It's a Wonderful LIfe - where the floor opens up and reveals a pool and everbody dives in, what a classic!

Correcting my original post, it was Chris Sarandon in Fright Night. Amazing scene. Watch and put on the big screen for pure sizzle.

The prom scene of all time -IMHO- was Chris Sarandon's sexy vampire in Friday Night.

That wasn't a prom; it was a club he followed them into. (I love that movie too. YOU'RE SO COOL BREWSTER!)

Two oldies: Splendor in the Grass and how about that charleston/pool scene with Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life?

I'm sorry, but this list can't be taken seriously..."Pretty in Pink" but no "Sixteen Candles"????
Ri-donk-u-lous.

the dance in Sixteen Candles wasn't a Prom - it was just a school dance. The same goes for some of the films included in the list - like Grease - and Back to the Future (Enchantment Under the Sea - NOT the prom). LAME LIST! Pretty in Pink should be #1. Ask anyone.

Prose & Con's...hmmm

Yeah, I know...
But as you said, others that were on the list weren't prom either. Since that rule had been broken, I thought the lack of 16 Candles inclusion was heretical.

Carrie and Pretty in Pink were the two that came to mind for me...awesome! Girl Next Door had an amazing prom sequence as well, but it's not as well known.
