'Swamp People': A Supposedly Dead Alligator Comes Back To Life (VIDEO)

On "Swamp People" (Thu., 9 p.m. EST on History) Cajun alligator hunters Liz Cavalier and Kristi Broussard came across what they thought was a dead alligator floating in the water.

However, as Liz started to haul it onto their boat, the 700-lb monster suddenly came back to life. As it used its tail to thrash around, Liz struggled to hold onto it, and Kristi warned that it could jump into the boat.

Finally, after Liz had shot the alligator, the women dragged it onto the boat and got another nasty shock.

One of the gator's legs had been bitten off by another -- presumably even bigger -- alligator. "He ripped his whole damn leg off!"

Follow the drama in the bayou on "Swamp People," Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on History.
