Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Stop Motion Recreation (VIDEO)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans, you won't want to miss this tribute to the 80s cartoon.

Put together by director Kyle Roberts and crew, this awesome stop-motion animated YouTube video recreates the original turtle heroes with more than 4,000 individual pictures along with 60 hand-drawn images by artist Nathan Poppe.

With the original theme song covered by Oklahoma band, The Boom Bang, their surf punk style perfectly complements Roberts' use of action figures.

As if you need any reason to rejog your memory about how brilliant 80s entertainment was.

Another memorable 80s tribute to surface the web this year? This hilarious My Little Pony Tribute to Star Wars posted on YouTube.

As for 80s flicks, it seems Ghost Busters 3 filming this year .

I'll never be able to watch stop-motion animation again without being reminded of Ben Wyatt's (Adam Scott) depressed foray into stop-motion animation on Parks & Rec. But very cool, nonetheless!

I am overcome with a sudden desire to go out and buy all new TMNT action figures. I used to have variations of all the turtles, some of the side characters, the party van, and the blimp. They all mysteriously vanished over the years. I'm thinking they went the way of the toys that shelf of forgotten toys from Toy Story. Thanks, Mom...
