Three Detroit Teens -- One Accused Of Killing Mom, Two Alleged Carjackers -- To Be Tried As Adults

Three Detroit teenagers, all younger than 16, are facing life in prison for various felonies ranging from armed robbery to first-degree murder and will all be charged as adults in court.

In one case, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged 14-year-old Joshua Smith with shooting and killing his 36-year-old mother, Tamika Robinson. Smith and his mother got into an argument, reportedly because she was concerned about who he was hanging out with, and he later found a gun in the house and shot her multiple times, prosecutors say.
