Kim Kardashian Doubles Value Of Wedding Gifts For Charitable Donation

After Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries earned an estimated $17 million on their big day, the reality TV star has reportedly done some good with her goods.

Months after their $10 million wedding, Kardashian has reportedly donated double the value of her wedding gifts to charity, a source close to her tells TMZ exclusively.

In thank-you notes sent to wedding guests and obtained by TMZ, Kardashian stated that the worth of the gifts received at the wedding -- estimated at $100,000 -- were donated to the Dream Foundation, which grants wishes for adults facing life-threatening illnesses.

"I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift," the note reads. "It has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation: An organization that I am very passionate about."

The Dream Foundation initially received the money in November, Erin Lynch, a spokesperson for the organization had confirmed with HuffPost.

"Kim has a long history of giving to Dream Foundation with her time, financial contributions and simply holding the hands of dreamers facing a terminal illness," Lynch said. "We are thankful to have Kim as a part of our service."

Kim had told Self magazine in April that giving makes her feel warm and fuzzy.

"Donating to charity makes me feel good. I give away 10 percent of my money to different charities, like the Dream Foundation. If I can help someone with a terminal illness visit a loved one they might not have been with for 10 years, it's the greatest feeling in the world to me. If you give away, you'll always prosper."

Poor Kim!! Funny thing the money she donated now gets to be taken off her taxes! WoW! how kind of her..and before we bash Kris, how much was his take on the TV Show? Anyone know?

With all due respect for this commendable action, It is hard for me to believe that a wedding/bride of her caliber only got $100K in gifts. 100k costs one of her handbags.

If you REALLY wanted to feel "warm and fuzzy" then you would have given half of the 17 million to charity not just 100K. Sounds like someone is trying to repare their tarnished rep.

Although she's far from perfect...as all of us are....KK has no olbigation to go even this far
She's not running for political office and does not have to garner favorable public opinon. Plus she already has enough to live on for the rest of her life without doing anyone any favors.

So, in a world where very few do very good, I say recipients of anything should be grateful, no matter WHAT the agenda is.

Doesn't even begin to make a dent in the multi-million dollar haul she made as a result of staging this event. How about donating ALL of her ill-gotten fraudulent gain as a result of the wedding. All.of.it.

Also not seeing her ANYWHERE for six months. No magazine covers, no complaining to TMZ photogs that they make her butt look big, No news whatsoever.

Wow, only $100,000! She states she donates 10% of the money she earns. If she earned 17 million for the wedding, she is $1.6 million short of her donation. Plus, she kept the wedding gifts and can deduct the charity on her taxes. Why not give the gifts back to the wedding guests and they can decide what to do with them?
