"I Hate My Teenage Daughter" star Katie Finneran stopped by "Good Day New York" (weekdays, 9 a.m. EST on Fox) to preview Mark Consuelos' guest role. On the episode (airing Tues., March 6 at 8:30 p.m. EST on Fox), the former soap star plays a Spanish teacher Nikki and Annie meet when they take some night classes. But the conversation soon turned to the real lesson behind the Fox comedy.
"It's got a message, right?" Rosanna Scotto asked Finneran. "Yeah, hate," Scotto's co-host Greg Kelly said. However, Finneran wanted to set the record straight.
"Look, I don't care who you are. I don't care if you're like the most wonderful person in the world or the best mother in the world: At some point in your life, you're going to say, 'I do not enjoy my offspring in this moment,'" she said. "Another way of saying that is 'I Hate My Teenage Daughter.'"
"I Hate My Teenage Daughter" airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
