Junior was clearly shutting down in an attempt to control his anger during his marriage counseling session with Renee last week on "Mob Wives" (Sun., 8 p.m. EST on VH1). In that session, she talked about how she went under the knife to get plastic surgery because he thought she was fat. She went so far as to say that he told her he could look at her during lovemaking now because she looked better than she used to.
All of these jabs thrown his way closed Junior up completely, and he was still sulking and angry when they got home. Renee was apparently completely in the dark as to why he would be upset. "He's pissed off at me?" she marveled. "How can I move forward if I can't f*****g get rid of the past?"
She did admit that she was trying to make him mad, which doesn't sound like a proper use of time in a therapist's office. But while Renee shouldn't have been pushing his buttons, Junior wasn't doing much better by refusing to broach any topics that he felt uncomfortable talking about.
So Renee started apologizing to Junior, who seemed to feel no need to apologize for anything, or even rush to accept her apology. So apology escalated to screaming and cursing, leading to Junior just walking away. Avoidance seems to be how he handles most issues with her.
