'Q'Viva! The Chosen' Premiere: Marc Anthony And Jennifer Lopez Spar Over Dancing Twins (VIDEO)

Fox picked up the American rights to Jennifer Lopez' show "Q'Viva! The Chosen" (Sat., 8 p.m. EST on Fox), perhaps hoping fans of "American Idol" would tune in to see Lopez on another reality show.

The series follows Lopez and her now ex-husband Marc Anthony as they travel throughout Latin America, seeking talent to invite to the next round of the competition in Las Vegas. The fact that they go to where these people live gives the show a different twist from other talent shows. No matter how many auditions are scheduled in different cities, there will always be those people who simply can't make it, be it for financial reasons, or work reasons or familial obligations. Lopez and Anthony eliminated any obstacles for their potentials by seeking them out in their hometowns.

In this two-hour premiere, the couple split up during the recruiting process to find a lot of interesting and talented individuals. But one pick by Anthony certainly caught the eye of Lopez. He sat in on a pair of beautiful twin dancers and while he was honestly brutal in his critique of their sub-par performance, he nevertheless invited them to Vegas.

It was the potential in them he saw, Anthony insisted, but Lopez was pretty sure it was something else in them he was seeing. It's the same struggle she faces every season with Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler on "American Idol." Show the guys a pretty face, and suddenly everything looks a lot better than it might really be.

"Q'Viva! The Chosen" continues Saturdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.

It was pretty irritating to watch people get a chance of a lifetime just because they were "hot." If it was a modeling contest I would get it, but during the entire show we're hearing how spectacular this show will be and how high the standards are...well really? So sub-par performers are going to make up this enormously amazing show that Marc and Jennifer are recruiting for? But it wasn't just these twins, Jennifer invited that salsa dancer who "didn't have her best audition." You're traversing two continents and you can't find people who are really good all the time?? Why are you settling? This isn't like American Idol where people pay their own way to get to the audition, these are people who will be flown in by the show and for what? So they can be sent home immediately because you know damn well they won't stack up? It's a little ridiculous.
