Lindsay Lohan 'SNL': Tina Fey Skipped Show Because Of Children

Why Tina Skipped Lohan's 'SNL' Performance

Lindsay Lohan got her big-screen break with Tina Fey's "Mean Girls" back in 2004, but her much-anticipated return to the small screen wasn't enough to lure the former "Saturday Night Live" head writer back to her old set. It wasn't an intentional snub, though: The New York Daily News reports that Fey had been planning on coming to cheer on LiLo at 30 Rock -- and even whipped up a draft for a co-monologue -- but had to cancel because of her family.

"Tina was committed to doing the monologue with Lindsay but both of her children got sick," a rep for Fey told the paper. "She was unable to participate as planned."

Lohan received mixed reviews for her performance on "SNL," which drew a high number of viewers and was the second-highest-rated episode of the season.
