Katherine Jenkins On 'Dancing With The Stars': Welsh Opera Star Has Unexpected Advantage

LONDON — Welsh opera star Katherine Jenkins may have a leg up on some of her "Dancing with the Stars" competitors: She's already used to high heels.

The mezzo-soprano has been practicing for the show in London with professional partner Mark Ballas.

He says her preference for stilettos is an advantage because she is used to running around in shoes that are higher than ballroom shoes.

The two fly to the U.S. Monday to join the other competitors, who include "Family Matters" actor Jaleel White, singer Gladys Knight and National Football League player Donald Driver.

Jenkins and Ballas deny rumors they are romantically linked off the dance floor.

Jenkins says: "We knew each other for just twelve hours, and in the press it is we are now dating."

The new season of "Dancing With The Stars" starts March 19 on ABC.

I think it's most interesting watching those who have no dancing experience. Some have done so well. I like the show and don't mind the judges. Do like Tom B but can't stand the girl with him. She is so fake looking and acting and makes really stupid comments.

Per usual, Ballas and Hough will get the partners with the most potential. Every year, it is the same thing, with the judges praising golden boy( Hough) and doing their best to deflate Ballas, who has long been overlooked as a great dancer with Hough always taking center stage and promoting himself, outshining his partner. Wonder why he wins? That's why.

Yawn. that show is soooooooooooooo over! Suggest they retool it and return it as Dancing with the D List. And the trophy could be a likeness of Lisa Rinna or Harry Hamlin.
