As one of the few stars to have nabbed an Emmy, an Oscar, a Grammy and a Tony (make that four, actually), Liza Minnelli may seem timeless. But the legendary singer-actress and all-around gay icon actually turns 66 years old today!
Indeed, for the ever-tenacious Minnelli, life is indeed a cabaret -- and the star shows few signs of slowing down. Currently on tour in support of her critically praised 2010 "Confessions" album, she nonetheless shrugs off the "living legend" moniker in favor of a different title.
"I always think of myself as a gypsy, a Broadway performer who travels from show to show," she told HuffPost Gay Voices in February. So what does Minnelli, whom who Joy Behar once jokingly introduced as having "entertained more gay men than Larry Craig," have in store for the future? "I rarely plan anything unless it's a tour or a show I'm working on, and in the meantime, all of these mad, wonderful things have happened," she quipped.
