Samantha Cameron Wears Burberry For U.S. Visit, Meets With Michelle Obama (PHOTOS)

Britain's prime minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha Cameron, finally touched down on this side of the pond on Tuesday to mark their long-awaited visit to the United States.

And of course, we were anxious to see what Mrs. Cameron, who's somewhat of a style icon, would be wearing, and we got our answer: a Burberry trench coat, Joseph trousers and L.K. Bennett shoes -- a favorite of another famous Brit -- according to the Daily Mail.

Despite her all-black ensemble, SamCam looked cool in the sun as she alighted from the plane with her husband, British prime minister David Cameron.

The Camerons spent the day with the Obamas in Washington before the president and the prime minister jetted off to Ohio for a basketball game.

While the boys did their thing, FLOTUS and Mrs. Cameron attended a mini-Olympics event with local school children at American University's Bender Arena. SamCam looked pretty in the same Roksanda Ilincic top she wore in February for her Fashion Week party at 10 Downing Street. Mrs. Obama opted for a frilly chartreuse cardigan by L'Wren Scott with very chic wide-legged trousers.

This wasn't the pair's first rendezvous; they hosted a barbecue last spring at 10 Downing Street together (we know, SO cute!) and apparently swapped fashion tips, as FLOTUS donned a Roksana Ilincic.

I love that Michelle Obama has reclaimed Cardigan Sweaters for more modern women.
Gone are the Lifetime Movie Cardigans, the stodgy Mr Rogers Cardigans that you throw on to run the dog.
She has some of the most beautiful and versatile pieces I've seen, and she looks so comfortable wearing them, even repeating them.

Glad to know Mrs. Cameron was wearing a Burberry's trench. I bought mine in '86 and it still looks good after being used as a pillow, mattress pad, etc. during my travels to 38 countries. Nothing says style like something classic, ala Chanel, etc.

I've kept all my Burberry's stuff: handbags, umbrellas, clothes, etc. since l980 and, with proper maintenance, look just as good as when I was bought them (naturally I didn't pay...boyfriend did).

I find Mrs Cameron very bland and boring and in my humble opinion not a very attractive woman, although her outfit is nice. Mrs Obama's cardigan is beautiful but those pants are just so horrible, too trendy.

Both ladies look very stylish and attractive in their respective ensembles. Very well suited for the venue. Can't argue with the classic Burberry.

Talls look good in palooza pants. I am 5'11 and I own a few. It balances our height. Michelle Obama looks great. Colors are good and it appear to be SPRING!

Samantha Cameron looks terrible in those pants -- so unflattering, so inappropriate -- and outdated belted long top, the mistake Michelle Obama put to bed quite some time ago.

She has that -- well, that English look.

That'll get me in trouble.
