Trenton Toilet Paper Shortage: Paper Products Running Low In New Jersey Capital City Amid Contract Squabbles

Toilet Paper

TRENTON, N.J. — Officials in New Jersey's capital say they've resolved a fight over toilet paper.

Trenton's The Times newspaper () reports Mayor Tony Mack's administration will move forward with an emergency purchase of toilet paper and paper towels. Supplies of both dwindled in city buildings while the administration and City Council quarreled over a contract to resupply city government. http://bit.ly/wLrubH

The stalemate began last September. The council twice rejected a $42,000 contract for a year's supply of paper products because members raised concerns about a high unit price for hot-drink cups.

Before the $16,000 emergency contract was announced Tuesday, officials said paper towel and toilet paper dispensers were nearly depleted in senior citizen centers, police headquarters, the fire department and other city offices.

So the toilet paper supply has been wiped out and the N.J. State Police have nothing to go on?

They had a similar problem in Washington DC but seem to have solved it by using the US Constitution. :-(

All New Jersians, use your property tax bill like toilet paper then carefully fold it up and mail it in.

I can see the employee memo now...............due to cost cutting should you need toilet paper you must bring your own supply. But we strongly encourage you to discontinue bathroom breaks so you don't disrupt your work.

Gov Christie and Kardashians, bought it all.
05:17 PM on 03/13/2012
The reason Trenton is running low on toilet paper is that Governor Christie is using it all up himself. Roto Rooter actually keeps a truck on the governor's mansion premise around the clock.

Someone that eats as much as Christie uses a lot of toilet paper.....but then again, he is so full of s..t!

Maybe the mayor has found a way to get along without toilet paper. If so, I do NOT want to sit next to him.

Damn but I'm having fun with this article...Bashing-back on the foolish Lib-Dem comments and the hateful Christie-bashers...And KNOWING that they have no arguments to throw back at me...And knowing that they can't defend the person really responsible,...Trenton's Democratic Mayor, Tony Mack...
Not ONE of you have tried to defend Mack, or came back at me with any legitimate criticism...
As is often said, the best way to shut-up a lib-dem is with Facts and Logic...
So...How do you like them apples !...HA !!!....
Come on, HuffPost...If you truly are unbiased "moderators", you need to let this post go through...Because you know that it is True...

Chris Christie...the governor who lost his state $450 MILLION in federal funds for education because of paperwork. The teachers and students earned that with their hard work and they lost it because of they were too stupid to do the paperwork. Chris Christie cut funding for schools, teachers, tax credits fot the elderly but wants tax payers to foot the bill to finish that eyesore mall called Xanadu. Chris Christie, the perpetual loud mouth that has no sense of decency. Chris Christie...the guy who expects TAXPAYERS to make cuts but choppers himself to his son's little league game while out of town checking out his presidential prospects and has his limo drive his giant rear end practically onto the baseball field. $2500 to see his son play baseball. And he wasn't going to pay until it looked bad for him. He is a hypocrite. I hate to say it but it is extremely difficult to watch a man who is grossly obese, who cannot fit into the chairs when you see him on TV, sit there talk about discipline and getting things under control.
