Chris Brown may have courted controversy with a series of tweets last year that some deemed homophobic, but now, the R&B superstar's decision to pose for a photograph with a transgender fan is heating up the blogosphere.

The photo, which has appeared on Media TakeOut, Tale Tela and Global Grind among other websites, shows the singer happily posing with the fan (you can view that photo here).

Global Grind quotes a tweet written by Brown in response as saying: “MTO!! !I have all kinds of fans that come to my shows! I respect each an every one of them!” That tweet appears to have since been removed from Brown's Twitter account.

The move, nonetheless, has inspired some support among Chris's fans. Asks Global Grind blogger Marjua Estevez, "Is Chris not allowed to have gay fans? What's more is the look of Chris' genuine attempt to oblige an enamored fan's picture request, evidently despite creed, color, gender or sexual orientation."
