Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom seem as if they're completely in love, but sources close to Odom claim he's tired of living his life in front of the cameras and that could cost him his marriage.
"Lamar wants out of the reality TV limelight, but Khloe is convinced that if Lamar doesn't continue being on TV with her, there would be NO Khloe," a source told HollywoodLife. "The whole reason Khloe has become so popular is because of her marriage to Lamar. She obviously doesn't want Lamar to be unhappy, but she knows that all the drama makes for good TV."
According to the source, fame is Khloe's first priority. "Same goes for Kim. Fame will always be more important than husbands and boyfriends," said the insider.
These claims seem to come out of nowhere, given that Khloe has proved she's dedicated to her husband and to both of their careers. When Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks earlier this year Khloe had no reservations about moving with her husband to Texas and she makes a point of seeing all of his home games.
"I live [in Dallas] full time. I travel when Lamar is on the road," she told Jimmy Kimmel during a recent appearance on his show. "That's my husband; I'll go to Timbuktu [for him]," she said when Kimmel appeared surprised that she made the move.
Although Odom seems more than comfortable in front of the cameras, the source tells HollywoodLife that Odom feels the televised aspect of their relationship is more intrusive than he anticipated.
"Lamar never thought being part of a reality show would have such an impact on his life. At the beginning, Lamar thought it would be fun to be part of the show. But when he got let go from the Lakers, he realized the show was nothing but a distraction," claims the source. "The show started taking a toll on Lamar and Khloe's relationship when he got traded. It was kind of a wake-up call for Lamar. He's scared about his future and his career."
These claims seem highly unlikely, given that the show is already in its second season and Odom's track record with the Lakers was spotless -- he won two championships and was the first Laker to win the 6th Man Of The Year award -- all of which he accomplished while married to Khloe.
