Sofia Vergara's Accent, Real Or Fake? Her Son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara Releases Never-Before-Seen Clip (VIDEO)

Sofia Vergara has an accent? Hm, here at LatinoVoices we didn't seem to catch that. Kidding.

According to her Vergara's son, 20-year-old Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, who released the clip above, his mother's accent was never Colombian at all, but rather British.

Kidding, again.

The parody video is Manolo's project out to document his mother's life as part of a show slated to premiere on NuevOn, a new Hispanic celebrity-oriented, pop culture/lifestyle YouTube channel launching in April.

This might be the step in the right direction for Vergara considering she was nominated earlier this month for a 2012 Comedy Award for her role as 'Gloria' on the hit TV show "Modern Family".

Vergara was nominated under the category "Best Performance By An Actress--TV." She is up against Tina Fey for her role in “30 Rock”, Amy Poehler for her role in “Parks and Recreation”, Kristen Wiig for her role in “Saturday Night Live” and newcomer Zooey Deschanel for her role in "New Girl."

Looks like the leading ladies of SNL want to put Vergara's funny bone to the test as she is set to host Saturday Night Live on April 7th.

Well I looks like she is just trying to speak that way on purpose. She does have a strong accent. She is Columian and they do have heavy accents...but that heavy sexiness of the voice...nah. but this video sucks bec the voice was poorly dubbed in.listen to how the audio skipped when it qent from one voice to another

I have friends with accents. They can suppress it. That doesn't mean anything. Funny vid though. I'm not an expert on Brit accents, but that sounded pretty good.

LOL! Very true. I spent a year as a foreign exchange student in Cordoba, Argentina. When I got home, my mom said I was speaking English with a Cordobés accent - tonada as they would say there. She got quite a kick out of it - as do most who hear the Cordobés way of speaking.
