MOLINE, Ill. – Mitt Romney’s vaunted organization nearly failed him in Illinois, where he only remained eligible for delegates on the ballot after a negotiated truce between his campaign and Rick Santorum’s people.

So Santorum drops his challenge to the legitimacy Romney's 'statement of candidacy' only because to pursue it could mean that he could end up facing the very same challenge himself.

The real story isn't so much about the deal making in this specific incidence but from the very beginning one candidate after another has failed to get on the ballot in one state or another because of staff screw ups yet these same GOP 'hopefuls' who can't put together a reliable functioning campaign team want us to trust them to put together a functioning cabinet and to appoint people to various key positions who are well qualified for those positions.

The more you get to know him, the less you like him-----that is now also true for his domineering and obnoxious wife, especially when she whined at FOX NOISE that she doesn't feel wealthy. All that negative ad money and Willard is still given competition by El Santo? Dopey Ed Gillespie trying to peddle that this prolonged bloodbath helps Willard. When then, Gillespie, why is Willard frantically trying to seal the deal, if that is so?

I honestly believe the GOP doesn't believe they will get the white house, but will pull all stops to try to damage Obama as much as they can. But I believe they will pull every dirty trick in the book and will continue trying to prevent voters from exercising their rights to vote by rigging voting laws.

I believe the GOP is really going after the senate, and local level agencies.

The GOP will benefit by having democrats in charge, because the dems will create a thriving economy again that the republicans can then try to steal from again in 2016.
