Alec Baldwin: James Inhofe, Anti-EPA Oklahoma GOP Senator, Is An 'Oil Whore'

Alec Baldwin James Inhofe

Actor Alec Baldwin took to his Twitter page over the weekend to unload on Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), repeatedly referring to the notorious anti-EPA legislator as an "oil whore."

During an environmentally focused diatribe against BP and fossil fuel dependence, Baldwin launched the following jab at Inhofe. The senator is a noted climate change denier who has also recently drew the ire of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who attacked the senator as "big oil's top call girl" earlier this month.

AB
Oil Whore Jim Inhofe has betrayed every man and woman who lost their livelihood on the Gulf due to BP's overwhelming negligence...

Baldwin later stood by his claim, calling Inhofe "Oil Whore" in a number of other tweets.

In a response to reporters, Inhofe's camp took issue with the tone of Baldwin's discourse.

These kind of outrageous statements made recently on Twitter by Robert Kennedy Jr. and Alec Baldwin stand in stark contrast to the civil debate Sen. Inhofe had with Rachel Maddow last week. In truth, the far left and Hollywood elites have lost on their pet cause of global warming. The only way to get attention these days is to make outlandish and irresponsible comments on Twitter.

Speaking with Maddow on her MSNBC show last week, Inhofe declared that she, "[EPA Administrator] Lisa Jackson and [California Senator] Barbara Boxer are my three favorite liberals, because I enjoy watching you very much."

Inhofe continued: "Lisa, she even has a picture of my 20 kids and grandkids hanging on her wall. She and I get along fine."

The EPA later confirmed this comment to The Hill.

Apart from his controversial statements about climate change and the EPA's environmental regulations, Inhofe was also among those responsible for working to block a measure to raise BP's liability cap from $75 million to $10 billion in the wake of the massive 2010 Gulf oil spill.

readurghts - Everybody uses oil in some way, but I walk mostlly, have two electric cars that charge from solar cells...not wall plugs delivering coal and oil fed energy. I grow most of what I eat in the garden, don't have or use an iPad, cellphone, and don't have a television. I do read the newspapers, and have access to this computer. No go clean up your wasteful ways and get with the program. Start out with candles at night and work you way into it.

I think that Mr. Baldwin’s comments while certainly impaction may be somewhat misdirected in this case. Keystone has received quite a bit of flak from a number of celebrities, politicians and environmentalists. It is easy to call someone names, but its been even harder for everyone considered to see past what the immediate effects are. Keystone should be about more than just big oil. The fact of the matter is that this is an infrastructure project much like any other and especially like those within the proposed American Jobs Act is September 2011. The argument of not creating permanent jobs is invalid as the jobs proposed beforehand were too not long term, they were simply meant to be a stepping stone toward something else. Nonetheless creating jobs in this economy is something that we really need to focus on, and we’re going to need to get creative about how to do so (http://eng.am/xmoh86). Another point here is that we need to look to the future in green energy which the United States is already doing but we can’t get there without recognizing what’s going on in the here and now and recognizing what our current (real) needs are. This project can be used a a transition measure for both the consumer and the worker. There is not enough demand for green energy on a grand scale but there is a way to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels and onto the future energy that we say we want.

agreed and right on target...As they say in Venezwailia and Russia drill baby Drill pump baby pump..sell the siberian oil ...

Job creation is one thing, but in building Keystone we are taking the enviormental risk and all, I repeat all, that oil is going to China. So either our Canadians friends didn't offer us the chance at their oil or the American oil companies didn't want anything to infringe on their dire need for more Federal subsidies to continue drilling at for higher priced oil.

Kill Keystone and let the Canucks go thru Vancouver, not the Nebraska aqua basin.

we have all the oil we could ever need right here in the USA its just that the government will not allow the American companies to use it because some mosquitoe's might die and of course tha Affrican Killer Beas and of course the ticks might not have a suitable breeding ground well they don't even live ther in those environments its just to cold nothing lives there.

Once again this proves liberals can dish it out can't take it. Baldwin is a narcissistic dweeb.

The outlandish comments by Baldwin and other liberals are laughable. When dealing with the liberal irrational point of view, it is sometimes so far from reality the only way to respond is to say nothing. Don't validate ridiculous statements with an answer. Intelligent discourse is not possible with a part of society that has been so brainwashed with misinformation it makes stupid comments such as all conservatives are rich.

99%er's represent who? When the country is divided in half based on political views we see yet another liberal misrepresentation.

Now what does Baldwin do? Where does his knowledge come from? He is just another liberal that got lucky in the acting world and through his liberal views is supported by the liberal entertainment community.

Anyone ever heard of Fracking? It is the process of releasing oil from granite or stone. Now, I know that everyone has heard of Oklahoma. Oklahoma now has earthquakes. Earthquakes are taking place in states that are no used to experiencing them. It is because of the Fracking process. It crumbles the stone to almost sand and weakens the foundation. Think about it.
