Sometimes the key to overcoming fear is taking a leap of faith. And that's exactly what one fourth-grade student had to do.

In the video above, the anxious girl teeters on the edge of a ski jump ramp, unsure of what to expect and expressing some last-minute concerns to her instructor, all the while trying to reassure herself.

"Do you go faster on the end run?" she asks with a quiver in her voice.

"A little bit," the instructor says.

After a few reflective moments, the time has come. It's all or nothing, now or never.

Still a bit unsure, the student leans forward and propels herself down the steep slope. Adrenaline quickly trumps nerves as she shrieks in excitement until she reaches the bottom of the incline.

"[It's] just the suspense at the top the first time that freaks you out. That's the only thing. It's so fun!" the girl says while regaining her composure.

The fourth grader's jump is reminiscent of other children's uplifting moments that have been captured on camera.
