'Real Housewives Of Atlanta': Marlo Hampton Apologizes For Gay Slur

On "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta" (Sun., 9 p.m. ET on Bravo) Marlo Hampton had to answer to her long-time hair stylist and friend Lawrence Washington after she used a gay slur.

Marlo first dropped the f-word during the "Housewives" trip to South Africa and then said it again several times in front of Lawrence at Cynthia's anniversary party.

Trying to apologize (kind of) for using the offensive term, Marlo said she'd done it because she'd felt uncomfortable.

However, she simply didn't seem to understand how offensive a term it is. When Lawrence told her he never wanted to hear her use it again, she was bemused. "Are you serious?" she asked.

After trying to explain why, Lawrence gave up and tried to lighten the mood. "You can say 'queen,'" he joked.

The drama continues on "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta," Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
