What ever happened to Carmen Electra?
Even at nearly 40, Electra loves showing off her signature curves, but this photo shoot is all about the glamour. Decked out in Los Angeles designer Margi Kent's silky dresses and sparkly frocks, she raves to the magazine about her on-set wardrobe:
"[The] dresses and gowns were perfect for me," she says. "It was a great variety of some that were tight fitting and some that were long and sophisticated."
The 11-page photo spread showcases Electra in a number of sexy and sultry looks, fitting for the author of a self-help book titled "How to Be Sexy."
"The message I was trying to convey is that everyone has something special about themselves they don't like, even models and movie stars and rock stars," she explains of her 2007 book. "Embrace those flaws and build your confidence by working out and feeling good about yourself. I wanted to help empower women."
Electra has been helping women get sexy since 2003 with her own line of at-home strip-aerobic videos, but it has been a while since she was on anyone's radar. Just because we haven't heard much from her in recent years doesn't mean she isn't keeping busy.
"I love to stay busy, so after shooting a movie in New Orleans, I went straight to Italy to work with MTV Europe. Soon after, I hosted a reality show in Greece," she told the magazine, adding that she then performed at Adult Entertainment club Crazy Horse in Las Vegas, all while promoting her workout videos, stripper pole and other products.
