Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase Movie: SNL Reunion Planned, Says Aykroyd

Aykroyd announced that he and his "Spies Like Us" co-star Chevy Chase are collaborating on an upcoming script.

"Chevy (Chase) and I are about to start work on a script concept for a comedy movie," he wrote on his Facebook page. "Cannot say too much about the concept, but the joy of working with him again is one that I am extremely excited about. Chevy is one of my favourite people, and one of the great anarchistic and physically committed comedians in the business."

This isn't the only throw-back style project pegged to Chase. Earlier this month, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the team behind "Horrible Bosses," were eying the comedian for a reboot of the goofball classic, "Vacation."

"We don't know who will be playing him, but we intend to have a part for Clark Griswold, Daley told The Hollywood Reporter. "Chevy, we're hoping he'll be down to come back -- and Beverly D'Angelo as well."

Chase has apepared in four "Vacation" films; the new version would potentially follow his son, Rusty. It was reported that Ed Helms was in the mix to star, but the "Office" branch manager shot down rumors in an interview with Moviefone

"I have no idea how and where those rumors got started," Helms said. "I'm not aware of any conversations about me doing that movie."
