Emma Watson Long Hair Gets Us Thinking: Which Cut Is Best? (PHOTOS, POLL)

Emma Watson's undergone quite the hair evolution, from her frizzy Hermione mane to sleek straight strands to that bold pixie cut.

The short 'do was the attention-grabber, ranking as one of 2011's "Most Influential Haircuts" and prompting some to question Emma's sexuality. "I had journalists asking me if this meant I was coming out, if I was a lesbian now," she told the Independent.

Now Emma's growing her hair out to a less polarizing place, although it sure is taking a while. On Monday, "The Bling Ring" star was seen with two different styles: when touching down at LAX, Emma's growing strands appeared at shoulder length; later that day, on set for her new movie, she was sporting extensions that fell over her shoulder.

Check out the two cuts below. Do you prefer the short, choppy look or the long strands? Or are you just longing for Emma to return to her pixie days?

Shoulder length. Otherwise she looks too much like Kristen Stew.

Personally I think with her facial structure she looks much better with long hair...

She will always be lovely, no matter how she has her hair styled

Of course growing out a short style takes awhile. Hair grows only about a half-inch a month, so it takes at least a year.

She looks amazing with short hair! It really suits her.

I was actually on the same plane as her on Friday leaving LA (I guess she was just taking a quick weekend away) and, obviously, looked much the same as she does in the first photo. In person she's awfully pretty, and I like the non-extensioned shoulder-length hair.
My point of all this: I was on a plane with Emma Watson and that makes me special.

Ahahaha I love all the old pictures from 2002-2007... she's super cute, but you can definitely identify the awkward early teen years. She's definitely developed great fashion sense more recently. Oh, and I prefer shoulder length, but the pixie cut was really flattering on her as well.

I love Emma but something that has always confused me like I am sure it confused her, why do women who get short haircuts automatically get asked if they are lesbian? Straight women can't have short hair???

Apparently, not anymore. Once upon a time in America, heterosexual women including movie stars did have short hair (i.e. Audrey Hepburn, a style icon) without anyone questioning their sexual orientation, which is why most women over the age of 70 feel free to sport short hair. Then came the 1960's and the hippie look. Women with long gray hair usually do not look terribly chic.

Me too. But I might be biased because we have the same hair stylist. Rodney is amazing.

The pixie is my favorite but she's a cutie regardless of hair length. I feel like her mom; like many others I watched her grow up into a lovely young woman!

The second picture is a weave. You can see her actual hair length in there and its the same length as the first picture.

"...later that day, on set for her new movie, she was sporting extensions that fell over her shoulder."
Extensions, not weave, but good on you for noticing the thing that was pointed out in the article.

Lol! Chad's right, if you would have read the article you would have seen where it stated she did infact have extensions in. No need to get snippy with those trying to help :3
