Rick Santorum Accepted Blessing From Dennis Terry

Rick Santorum 2012

Posted: 03/20/2012 5:21 pm

At a Baton Rouge revival yesterday, the Republican presidential candidate was introduced and blessed by the fire-breathing pastor Dennis Terry. To a cheering crowd, Terry shouted that ours is a "Christian nation," that "we don't worship Buddha, we don't worship Mohammad, we don't worship Allah," and that anyone who doesn't like "the way we do things" should "get out."

I cannot wait for the time when he bows out. What will he say. Will he blame it on Obama, Romney, God? Someone is certainly to blame here for his failure. It is not him as he takes no responsibility for what he says or does.

For a country supposedly built on the Christian God, the founders were quite silent on the subject of Go in the constitution. The word God appears ZERO times, Jesus ZERO times, Christian ZERO times. Plus, it specifically prohibits any religious test for any public office at any level of government.

He said "we" don't worship Allah. "Allah" is the Arabic word for God. If "we" don't worship Allah, then what about Gott, Dios, et. al.

I hate, hate, hate all the references to the Nazi in the current political dialogue. But this pastor's message comes as close as I've ever seen to the vitriolic diatribes of Adolf Hitler and his ilk from ca. 1935. The essence of Hitler's message was Jews aren't and can't be Germans no matter how long they lived there, how bravely they fought in WW I, how integrated into everyday German life they were, or much German culture they had embraced.. The only difference is this wacko might except anyone who decided to think just as he does.

"At long last, have you no decency, sir"

I was reminded of Pat Buchanan's infamous speech at the '92 Republican convention.

But yeah, the Hitler thing works, too.

This reminds me of the Bund rally in Madison Square Garden in 1939. Just as hate-filled.

When taking office the POTUS swears to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America". The founding document states, very clearly, that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...". By failing to stand up against the Get Out! movement, Santorum has demonstrated his unfitness for the office that he seeks.

In the 1960s Rev Terry would include Catholics like Santorum's parents among those unbelievers who should get out. And Pope Pius X forbade communion with Protestants under pain of Excommunication.

If Santorum is such an Uber-Catholic, why is he kissing so much Pentacostal Born-Again Keister?

Santorum, should he get the nomination is going to have a very difficult time gathering support from both right leaning Independents and Moderate Republicans.

O'Rielly, who is sometimes critical of President Obama's policies said this on a past interview:

"Now last week on "Good Morning America," I graded the president this way: B on jobs, C on Afghanistan, D on health care. Even though some Obama detractors objected to the jobs grade, I stand by it. Stats show the job situation was much better last month than earlier this year. Much better. It is important to be fair to Barack Obama, because if you hate him then legitimate criticism is brushed aside. The man has done some things correct."

Bill's analysis shows the president's weakest point for Indies could be in healthcare reform. The economy and national security are important seconds. However, he didn't even mention social issues. Most right leaning independents are Christian but strongly support the ideas of separation of church and state along with social moderacy. This pans bad for Santorum outside of "conservative fundamentalist evangelic" circles. This is also reflected outside of independants as woman have casted more votes for Romney over Santorum, especially in suburban regions where moderate republicanism is king.

O'Reilly's views don't hold much water amongst voters who don't watch Fox Noise, truly moderate

Can you provide a transcript and explanation for someone who isn't so full of hatred for others and only love for his own nonsense?

And those viewers who watch Fox and O'Reilly far outnumber those who don't, so those who don't, don't matter all that much, now do they?
