Hollywood Ex-Wives Series To Premiere On VH1

NEW YORK -- Hollywood ex-wives surely have stories to tell, and now five of them will have their own TV series.

VH1 said Wednesday that it is making "Hollywood Exes," a one-hour series that will air this summer. Featured players are the ex-wives of Eddie Murphy, Prince, R. Kelly, Will Smith and Jose Canseco.

The network said that Nicole Murphy, Jessica Canseco, Andrea Kelly, Sheree Fletcher (Smith's ex) and Mayte Garcia (Prince's ex) "want to show the world that they are more than just a trophy wife with a pretty face."

The 10-episode series will follow the women as they establish their own lives apart from their famous exes.

Sometimes, celebrities are so over rated that everything about them needs to be in TV. Why are they like that? I dont think that being divorced or being an ex wife of someone famous is really one of the things I want to even watch.

How can you have a show called "Basketball Wives" when (1) some of the players don't even play anymore, (2) some of the women aren't even "wives or ex-wives", and (3) how can you call yourself a "wife or ex-wife when you act 5 years old? I'm just sayin!

People are hungry and jobless. the world is in shambles, and the only contribution these networks can make is to have a show about women lives who have no signifcance in the world but that they were ONCE some superstar's wife? When judgement comes and God ask's what did you do with the blessing's I gave you...I can see them standing there dumbfounded and really happy to say...."Oh Lord, well we showed the world how Ex wives live after divorce"....Lord help us all.

As a straight 32 year old male, I have yet to see any of these shows. I haven't even watched The Jersey Shore. Who are the people watching this and why are they allowed to own televisions? Shows like Baseball Wives confuse me. You have no talent, you were just once married to someone who had marginal talent. How does that translate into people wanting to watch you? I would rather watch a fork in my microwave.

Really wish there were thinking people in the entertainment field that could come up with programs that were worth watching anymore. I think T.V. might be at its lowest level now, but give them a few more months and I'm sure they stoop to the level of becoming a grease spot on the floor.
