Adorable Baby Squirrel Keeps His Eye On The Prize While Being Petted (VIDEO)

Squirrels don't have as illustrious a cinematic history as say, dogs and cats, so the most enduring image of the rodents in recent pop culture memory might just be 'Ice Age's' irrepressible saber-toothed squirrel, Scrat, who can never quite reach his goal despite holding steadfast to the mission at hand.

And not one to break with squirrel archetypes, the fluffy fellow in this video won't let anything -- not ceaseless petting, nor this woman's creepy baby-talk voice -- stand in his way of getting to the nut at the end of the rainbow.

This is the littlest squirrel I have ever seen. This year is the first time I have ever seen actual baby squirrels on my deck, but they were not this small.

This little baby is so cute! Although the woman's creepy voice saved my head from exploding from too much cuteness.

You ever try catching a squirrel? I used to feed them at the Lincoln Reflecting Pool in d.c. and got scratched and bitten, for which I had to get a tetanus shot. They are vicious when it comes to a woman with a bag of nuts (no jokes, please). They went berserk and climbed all over me. I looked like a deranged bag lady. They tore my hair from my scalp with their claws and even one went down my shorts (you just have to picture a middle aged woman hopping around, hand down my pants trying to get the bugger out).
