The Infineon Raceway in Sonoma was filled with smoking engines, squealing tires, and cheering fans last Tuesday as 75 drivers attempted to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of cars simultaneously turning donuts in one location.
The drivers, made up of amateurs and professionals, spun for 40 seconds in a 240,000 square-foot section of the Sonoma County raceway.

The Infineon Raceway still needs to send documentation to Guinness for verification in the hopes of beating out the previous record held by Queensland, Australia. In 2010, 57 Aussies spun donuts for 10 seconds.
