It all started after Ferguson got Banks' "Games" character's name wrong and referred to her as "Pippa Middleton."
"I'll take it," Banks laughed. "The derriere on that Pippa! I'd do anything to have that behind!" she declared. However, Ferguson just couldn't agree.
After rewatching highlights from the royal wedding when Pippa's enviable assets were highlighted by a figure-hugging ivory Alexander McQueen gown, Ferguson had decided that Ms. Middleton's bottom was "not so great."
Showing where his allegiances lie, the self-professed bottom-watcher summed it up: "It's not J.Lo! Come on!"
Ferguson once had a chance to study the Lopez behind at close range in a theater. As Jennifer passed by him, rear end at his eye level, he joked that he was playing the "Imperial March" from "Star Wars" in his mind.
"The Hunger Games" is in theaters Friday, March 23. "Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. ET on CBS.
