The Ten Most Expensive Homes In New York (PHOTOS)

With so much (relative) good news on the real estate front -- housing starts up, price drops out of free-fall -- we just had to return to our favorite past-time of house-fantasizing. According to our friends at Realtor.com, these are the 10 most-expensive properties on the market in New York at the moment. And if anyone has a pocket listing more expensive than these, well, it's likely burning a hole in that pocket and we think they should tell us about it.

1. The Woolworth Mansion on East 80th Street for $90 million.

This 19,950-square-foot mansion was built in the late 1890s for the retail magnate, Frank Woolworth. It's definitely how the other half lived (even though that other half is now reduced to a mere one percent.) The neo-French Renaissance mansion has a limestone facade and is super-sized everything -- massive fireplaces, formal rooms, a dining room that can seat more than 50. We assume that if you have $90 million to spend on a house, you probably know that many people to invite to dinner.
