The Sweet 16 concludes with a game between No. 2 Kansas and No. 11 North Carolina State in the Midwest Region.
The Jayhawks blew out Detroit quite easily, avoiding the 2012 trend of No. 2 seeds falling in the first round (see Missouri, Duke). But Purdue tested Kansas' toughness with a phenomenal performance from Robbie Hummel. But Kansas was able to rally in the final minutes, erase a 10-point deficit and win 63-60 after the go-ahead basket from Elijah Johnson.
Will Kansas end N.C. State's magical run? Or will the Wolfpack eliminate the Jawhawks en route to an Elite Eight appearance?
