If you’ve seen Perez Hilton recently, you’ve probably noticed that the Queen of All Media is thinner than he’s ever been. The Huffington Post caught up with the Cuban blogger on his birthday weekend to find out how he lost over 80 pounds (hint: he had to stop eating flan and croquetas!), why he’s happier than ever before and how he plans to celebrate his 34th birthday!
Happy 34th Birthday, Perez! Tell us: What are your birthday plans?
I'm celebrating my 34th [birthday] by throwing a party that is also serving as a fundraiser for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation! At my SXSW party this past weekend, I was able to raise over $46,000 to support their vital work to help keep music education programs in school - and I want to raise even more! In lieu of gifts, I'm asking my party guests to make a donation to Save The Music. I'm also giving my readers the opportunity to attend my party by donating!
How does it feel to be 34?
Wiser and truly happier than I ever have been before! I've just become more comfortable in my own skin and more mindful of my energy and the energy I'm putting out.
You’re looking good, Perez! You’ve lost a ton of weight. How did you do it and what advice do you have for others looking to do the same?
I did it through lots of HARD work. My advice to others is start slow, but be steady and patient! It’s hard for everyone! It’s never easy. I still crave flan and croquetas! Ha!
Are you currently working on any projects?
The #1 project I'm currently working on is me. Being the best me I can and living up to my full potential!
